The Catnip · Grown, Not Manufactured

We don't grow it. We just refuse to sell the bad stuff.

Most catnip is sad — stems, dust, and whatever was swept off the floor that week, bagged up and sold to cats who deserve better and can't read the label.

A regenerative organic farm in Southern Oregon — where our catnip actually comes from

We started High Whiskers because the experience should be good — the houses, the blends, the whole bit. But none of it works if the catnip underneath is garbage. So we went looking for the opposite of garbage.

The Source

Certified regenerative organic. Oregon-grown.

We source our catnip from certified regenerative organic farms in Oregon — growers who take soil more seriously than most people take their careers. Regenerative Organic Certified, USDA Organic, the whole stack. Not because it photographs well. Because the leaf is genuinely better when the ground it grew in is alive.

We won't list our growers here — we blend, we don't broker, and our recipes are ours. But the rule doesn't change: Oregon-grown, certified, regenerative. If a farm can't meet that, it doesn't end up in the jar.

What That Actually Means

The unglamorous version of caring.

Regenerative farming is building soil back up instead of stripping it down: no synthetic pesticides, treating the land like you intend to still be on it in thirty years. It's slower and harder and more expensive than the alternative. Cats do not know or care about any of this.

But your cat does know the difference between leaf and dust. That's the part that survives the supply chain and lands in the jar — a cleaner, stronger response, no filler, no floor-sweepings. The ethics are for you. The quality is for the cat. Both are real.

The Whole Point

This is what it does.

Real catnip, straight from the field. No staging, no house — just cats who found the good stuff and lost their minds over it.

"I have a great deal to say about soil biology. The cat has nothing to say about soil biology. The cat simply knows when the catnip is good, and refuses everything else — which is the only review that has ever mattered." — Sage, Head Budtender
The Honest Part

We're a parody of a dispensary. The catnip is not a parody. It's the one thing on this whole site we're completely serious about — sourced from people who grow it better than we ever could, blended by Sage, tested (relentlessly, professionally, horizontally) by Tripp.

The Menu

Now go see what we did with it.

Four blends, each built on the good stuff. Sage approved them. Tripp tested them all.
